ODESSA
Odessa is a Hard Rock/Art Rock band with three albums under their belt and an intense concert activity on national and international stages.
The history of the group begins in 1998 with a project by Lorenzo Giovagnoli (vocals and keyboards). The following year, their debut album «Stazione Getsemani» was released by Mellow Records, which was positively received by numerous magazines and fanzines in the sector.
An intense live activity followed both in Italy and abroad, particularly in France, as well as at BajaProg, in Mexicali, Mexico.
In January 2009, they released their second album, “The Final Day – Il giorno del giudice”. The album received a 5-star rating in the American magazine «Progressive World». They presented the album both at the French festival ProgSud and in Jakarta, Indonesia, where they did a mini-tour and played at the art and fashion festival Jak-Art 2009, for an event sponsored by UNESCO.
After a period of pause, in 2022 the album “L’Alba della Civiltà” was released, with the collaboration of the flautist Gianluca Milanese. The album was played for the first time at the Trasimeno Prog Festival 2022. Enthusiastically welcomed by the trade press, it was named among the best Italian prog releases of 2022 by Prog e Dintorni and Classic Rock.
